Cheeky Monkey
A crowd favorite for toddlers 3+. It is large and easy to lose sight of your child. There is a play area for children starting at 10 months but it can be tough to keep track if you also have older ones in the big play space. It is an absolute blast full of slides and soft play but can be overwhelming if you have an array of ages.
Jungle Castle
The jungle castle is a favorite for toddlers and babies. All of the play areas are designed to entertain starting at the newborn stage, making it great no matter how little your child may be. It is nice and quaint with a maximum capacity of 25 children, allowing parents to easily keep an eye on their children from one spot.
Explorium Denton Children’s Museum
If you are looking for a more hands-on and educational play, this is the foundation of the Explorium. Here, your children get to experience the wonder of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through hands-on exhibits. Entry is only $5, or you can get a membership for the family for $129 for the whole year! They even have sensory-friendly events on the second Saturday of every month from October to May.
The Battlefield Blaster Arena
Have a child that needs to get some energy out by shooting Nerf guns at you and other children? Open play every Saturday from 11 AM - 6 PM, and Sunday from 1 PM - 6 PM. If you need a good laugh and an exhausted child, this place will surely do the trick.
Outdoor Play
Heritage Park
A great public park in Flower Mound no matter the season. In the summer the splash pad is open to help keep your children cool if you’re not looking to go to the pool. Your kids can then move over to the covered playground in the shade to dry off or get out of the heat. There are trails to walk the dog, run, or even play frisbee or soccer in the open field. There are lots of things to do no matter your interests.
Eureka 2
A Public park in Denton that is great for all ages. They have a zipline, castles to climb, swings, slides, and more. It is heavily shaded, so it helps keep you out of the Texas heat in the summer. There are lots of trails, basketball courts, and plenty of open land to enjoy all of the outdoor activities you love.
Harvest/Canyon Falls/The Ridge/Pecan Square
Explore these four neighborhoods with diverse parks. From ziplines and playhouses to swings, splash pads, and more, you can wander through these master-planned communities and discover a new park for every day of the week if you wish.
Knob Hills Bike Trail
Off of 1171 in Argyle, this 12-mile trail is great if you are looking for a nice mountain bike trail that will land you near Grapevine Lake. There is a good place for parking, they have tables for picnics and changes in difficulty.

Mi Dia From Scratch
Voted in the top 10 Tex-Mex restaurants in the USA, Mi Dia will never disappoint. Great upscale atmosphere with food that always tastes fresh. Just beware that it is always packed, so get there early, or make a reservation if you plan to go on the weekend.
Foster’s
We have tried all the sushi places around here, and this one always comes out on top. We have yet to have a roll we didn’t like. They have great sashimi, cooked rolls, and even fried rice. Great spot if you’re looking for sushi and a more casual date night.
The Barrel
If you are craving a great handcrafted cocktail, The Barrel should be your spot. They are a wine and whiskey bar that just happens to also have amazing food selections. Come for the drinks and appetizers, or have a steak. No matter what you get, you will leave happy you came.

Here you can get a nice date night atmosphere with a wide selection of food offerings. This is the perfect spot to satisfy every craving. From burgers to pasta, to fish and steaks, you can have a nice plethora of options with a hand-crafted cocktail to pair with your dish.

It has a nice rustic atmosphere with a room you can use for business meetings. So whether you are looking for drive-through coffee, a meeting space, or a relaxing atmosphere to have a coffee or cocktail with your friends, this coffee shop meets every need.
Farmhouse Coffee and Treasures
Nestled in the middle of Harvest, this cute little shop is located in what once used to be a farmhouse. It is a cozy space that makes you feel right at home. You will find adorable items throughout the shop that are available for purchase, so they sell much more than just coffee and breakfast treats. Sit on the patio with your dog, stop by to grab a coffee and play at the park across the street, or use their adorable trailer to cater your local event. Regardless of the need, you will not be disappointed.

Stop by this adorable cottage for a warm and homey feel. This is a great spot to stop in to meet up with friends, drive-thru, or simply sit on a patio and enjoy the fresh air. It gives hobbit house, or cozy cottage vibes to allow you to feel right at home in the middle of Argyle.

Argyle Youth Sports Association (AYSA)
With many sports to pick from, Argyle Youth is perfect when you feel your child is excited about sports, and you are ready to make more than just a 1-day a week commitment. Typically having 1-2 practices throughout the week and a game on Saturday, it is a great way to test the waters of every sport, while committing to a few hours a week.
i9 Sports
With branches all over the metroplex, i9 is great for an introduction to a sport, or a low commitment. Practices are on Saturdays before the games, so you practice for 30 minutes and then play for 30 minutes. This allows your child to decide if they like a sport before making a bigger commitment. We found this program awesome for the toddler years.
Win Kids Ninja Warrior
If you have a son or daughter who is bouncing off the walls at home, we found this to be an awesome outlet. They have ropes courses, rock climbing walls, obstacle courses and more! Our kids would be exhausted afterwards, and always look forward to going.
Eminence Dance Complex
After trying multiple dance studios for our daughter, we finally found Eminence. The teachers are amazing, demonstrating a clear love and passion for their dancers. The talent of their company dancers is beyond impressive. As someone who grew up in the competitive dance world, I can confidently say that Eminence offers one of the best recitals and studio experiences I have ever seen. Highly recommended for both beginner and advanced classes if you want your child to truly love dance, versus just learn how to dance.
Texas Dreams Gymnastics
Although it's not in Denton County, Texas Dreams is worth the drive. After months of trying different gyms, we enrolled our daughter here. If you want your child to focus on proper form to avoid injury, receive support from experienced coaches, and even watch Olympic trials at their gym, Texas Dreams is the place for you. Observing the competitive team and the talent that has emerged from this gym, it’s clear why their gymnasts love it here. Gymnasts travel from all over the country to learn from these exceptional coaches.
Zaudtke Golf
Hosting his lessons on the Wildhorse Golf Course in Robson Ranch, Stephen is a great coach for young children. If your child has a passion for golf or wants to learn, Stephen offers classes starting at age 4. He simplifies the game, focusing on form and teaching the basics while hosting year-round classes.
